It could take a long time to find perfect SoundFont Player. We have one for you! Let's see what it could do! The requirements were simple:

• work as polyphonic VST plugin
• playback stereo Soundfonts
• be easy on CPU
• be able to handle big Soundfonts
• have amp envelope with ADSR filter
• have filter envelope with cut off, resonance and ADSR controls
• be free and available for isntant download

Not much isn't it?
Apparently there are virtually no offers on the market matching these requirements.
We have recently found one: SafFron. This player not just does what we where looking for, but also has good effects section featuring time and tempo synced Echo, Reverb, Chorus, Flanger and Phaser!

The best thing is that it is Free SoundFont Player!

It was released by Fretted Synth for free, which has unfortunately does not have any web presence any more. So, no warranty comes with it. However, it has been used by many people, it works, and you won't loose anything is you give it a try.
